Too much money for too little material
While there is no stopping dedicated fans from getting the DMC4 Collector's Edition, it is not the best limited edition box I've purchased and I don't recommend buying this one. All you really get is five music tracks and four anime episodes. Yeah it is a nice box but I think Capcom could have done a lot better.
Behind the scenes/making of DMC4? Nope.
Extra in-game content? Nope.
Kind of a ripoff? Yeah pretty much. Unless you're totally a diehard fan with lots of money, just get the standard edition.

The Ultimate!!
I've waited for this game soo much and didn't want to go for less than the Collector's Edition. It's worth every penny.

The game is awesome in every aspect. The more you play it, the more addicted you become to it. A 5-Star non-stop action video game for the most powerful system, the PS3.

Truely a must-have game :)

Over hyped edition
First i am huge fan of the series, so naturally when the CE edition was offered i did not hesitate to buy it, the case of game is great i loved it but the bonus DVD,my oh my i was really disappointed with it the soundtrack, only five tracks? the game had alot of music tracks and they offered the CE at a premium price for only five tracks. and the interview it feels like youtube video slapped with some text question with director or producer they show you some of the cut scenes how they did it but really i expectd more from it.
as for the game I was greatly disappointed with it they tell guest star appearance of lady and Trish, they should have said 15 seconds of lady because its that short and you play with nero most of the game which is fine then you play with dante for some levels which is great, but you cant chose dante in all of the level which was weird. the controls are easy and the graphics were great but the game does not have much replay value as the older versions i wish they offered more for me to play on a more difficulty levels to unlock costumes are not enough for replay value. as a DMC fan i expected more from this one, and as for the CE unless you want the metal case and the it' not worth it if want the anime just buy the box set. I regret buying the CE it does not feel like a CE should, the normal version would have been enough, as for the game a good fast paced solid action but with out much replay value unless you are fan of the series just rent it.

Awesome DMC
This game is really a DMC (not like DMC2), i really enjoyed it.
The graphics, the music and the action are incredible.

collecters edition
well you can see reviews for this game on this site so ill just talk about the special features. first of all the game case is in a plastic sleeve which stops the metal case from being scratched and it holds the anime disk. when i removed the case from the sleeve i was expecting some artwork but nothing like this. its a beautiful holographic case showing nero holding up his "devil bringer" and on the back is dante holding his pistol "ebony". aside from the very attractive case, the two bonus disks are fantastic. the anime dvd is very action oriented and can be viewed in japanese with subtitals or in english. also the dvd has an interview with the voice acter for dante and some game promos. the "bonus" dvd is meant for the computer and is a very nice treat for any dmc fan. it has an art gallery showing some origional artist scetches of the dmc 4 charecters, the game soundtrack ( very good quality( i put them on my ipod)), and lots of desktop backgrounds and screen savers. overall i would say that the extra 30 bucks is sooooooooooo worth it for this masterpiece.

Devil May Cry 4 Review :

The Devil May Cry series has seen its fair share of ups and downs. When the first game debuted, it was a revelation, delivering slick, fast-paced action, tight controls and a bankable new hero in the silver-haired Dante.

There's a new sheriff in town: Devil May Cry 4's protagonist may look a lot like fan favorite Dante but he's got a style all his own. There’s a new sheriff in town: Devil May Cry 4’s protagonist may look a lot like fan favorite Dante but he’s got a style all his own.

The franchise stumbled a bit after the release of the second chapter, a game that failed to ignite the fires of gamers and critics alike. It was obvious that Capcom could not capture lightning in a bottle a second time.

Devil May Cry 3 went a long way towards restoring the franchise’s luster with gamers and critics but the damage had been done: when the fourth installment in the demon-busting series was announced, we couldn’t help but wonder if they would continue to build upon the momentum of DMC3 or if they would stumble the way they did with DMC2.

The fact that the franchise was making the next-gen leap was also troubling; after getting an early peek at Capcom’s annual Gamer’s Day event, we were left with the distinct impression that DMC4 would just be the same old formula with a coat of new-gen sheen applied.

Oh, how wrong we were. When our review copy of Devil May Cry 4 first appeared in our offices, we treated it with the same sense of wariness that we would have mustered had we received a box with a “Warning: Live Demon” sticker plastered on the top. We quickly sent the game to one of our trusty reviewers, Casey Lynch, but in doing so, we robbed ourselves of an early opportunity to play one of the best action games around. Damn it!

DMC4 not only represents a return to form for the franchise, it represents a geniune step forward. But don’t take our word for it: click through to the next page and read Casey’s expertly written review. Now that he’s vanquished a horde of demons, he has plenty to say on the subject. But don’t stop there: we have some hot screenshots as well as some eye-sizzling videos for you to enjoy. That’ll get you nice and ready for when the game drops tomorrow; if you look closely enough, you might see us waiting in line at the game store with you.
